A number of wikis have migrated away from Fandom, citing issues such as intrusive advertising and branding, a non-user-friendly site design, a lack of customizability and company cross-promotion which is often irrelevant to wiki content.

However, there are some reasons why a wiki is closed. The wiki's content or intention violated Fandom's Terms of Use or the Community Creation Policy. The wiki is recognized as a potential duplicate by Fandom's automatic matching tool, and there is no acceptable reason provided.

We don't usually close (or delete) wikis once they have been created. That's because wikis are owned by the community that builds them and the community that will use them in the future. If you aren't interested in a project any more, you can just leave it.
